All the pups are spoken for
All the pups are going to great homes. Well, all except for one little yellow female who will be staying with us. Her name is Ellie and she was doing her first retrieves in the hallway this morning. What a fun new game.

A trip to the vet's office
The pups got their first shots and worming yesterday, along with a physical exam. All of them are doing great. The smallest girl weighed in at 7 pounds and "Pupzilla" tipped the scales at just over 10 pounds! Some of them will start going to their new homes next week. Lucy will be glad to see them go! She's tired of being chased around by little biting machines.

A couple of the pups at 5 weeks old. They are getting very active and seriously roughhousing with each other. All of them are pretty evenly matched and so far we don't have any "wall flowers". They've taken a few trips in the dog truck and they've gone swimming three times now. All of them love the water and swim very well. We'll be leaving in a few minutes to go explore a new field and a new pond.

Two weeks old today. Top pic is of the boys, bottom pic is of the girls. It's pretty tough to keep them all together for pictures since they've learned how to use their legs. It looks like four of the boys, the black female, and two of the yellow females are spoken for and are going to great homes. One black male and one yellow female are still available.

We recently bred our girl HRCH Fairwinds Lucy MH to the exceptionally talented FC Low Country Drake. We are very excited about this breeding and expect some outstanding puppies that should be perfect for the serious amateur trainer. Lucy and Drake are consistent performers who are also great housedogs with a nice "on-off switch".
Both Lucy and Drake are CNM and EIC clear, both have CERF clear eyes and OFA normal elbows. Drake's hips are rated OFA Excellent and Lucy's are rated OFA Good. Both are correctly and athletically built, are very good movers and are structurally sound. What all this means is that these puppies should live long, healthy lives as gundogs, comptetitors and family members.
Drake and Lucy are both yellow-factored black, so we expect blacks and yellows from this litter. We expect pups around the 2nd of July.
